Hello loves,
Let me introduce you to one of my favorite organic brands-COOLA
COOLA’s organic formulas contain over 70% certified organic ingredients. Better for your skin, better for the environment. Today, COOLA continues to pave the way in the suncare industry. Because they produce in limited quantity batches in sunny and cool San Diego, they are able to reformulate often, taking advantage of new developments in sun science.
I’ve been using COOLA’s classic  sunscreen for 2 years and I’m obsessed with it.It smells like vacation in the bottle.
Another family favorite is COOLA’s Guava Mango Sunscreen spray (SPF 50)
All COOLA’s sunscreens contain 70%+certified organic ingredients, antioxidant infused and gentle on the skin.I use it on my boys and my husband wears it daily,he swears by it and also it doesn’t irritates his sensitive skin.
Here are two more new COOLA products that I am really excited about;

SKINCARE GIFT SETS
Hey guys and girls,
One of my favorite times of the year is almost here and I am ready for cooler days, sweaters, boots, pumpkin spice everything and Halloween. But its’s still warm and sunny here in South Texas but I am patiently waiting for a cool down, very patiently…
Anyways few days ago, couple of talented creatives and I jumped right ahead and decided to create something spook-tacular with a touch of glam!
The inspiration behind this project was Mexican Day of the Dead Celebration or Dia de los Muertos. My talented assistant-makeup artist,Karina and hairstylist,Topaz have done an outstanding job in recreating these looks and Cynthia brought my vision to life with her camera. And of course,we couldn’t have done this project without our gorgeous models,Melissa,Cecy and Diana.
I’ve always been fascinated by this tradition, colorful costumes, flowers and sugar skull paintings. Our project was strictly ART inspired, hope you guys enjoy!

Beach,sand,sun and margaritas, HELLO SUMMER!!!
And while it’s melting hot-hot outside, your makeup doesn’t have to melt!
Read these tips on how to summer proof your makeup
ALWAYS APPLY SPF 20+
Protect your skin and apply sunblock.
Re-apply often especially if you are outside for long period of time or hanging out at the  beach.
My personal favorite sunblock is from COOLA SUNCARE
It’s organic,non-greasy and it smells amazing plus it’s gentle enough to use on kids.
SKIP FOUNDATION
Let your skin breath!
And try  BB cream for everyday wear. Most Beauty Balms are infused with vitamins, mixed with face moisturizer,SPF and touch of foundation.
If you have acne prone skin or scars and need more coverage,I suggest spot concealing your problem areas after applying BB cream.
“Your skin but better CC with SPF 50”
USE WATERPROOF
Whether you are swimming, jogging or simply out and about, upgrade your mascara and eyeliners to a waterproof.
For a night out or a date night, apply few individual lashes to open up your eyes.
While there is a plenty of waterproof mascaras and eyeliners on the market my absolute favorites are
L’OREAL VOLUMINOUS (Hydro Black)
MARC JACOBS MATTE HIGHLINERS
http://www.MarcJacobsbeauty.com
SWAP OUT YOUR POWDER BLUSH
I am a huge fan of creamy textured face products especially when it comes to blushes.
Cream blushes last longer and create natural looking glow that we all crave.

DON’T FORGET TO HIGHLIGHT
No makeup look is ever complete without a highlighter.
Apply it on the highest points of your cheekbones and inner corners of the eyes
Personal fave
MATTE LIPS? NOT SO MUCH
Matte lipsticks are popular right now but I encourage you to try something more softer like a sheer gloss or lip creme for kissable lips.

Mika

How did it all started?
Up until the 1920s, tan skin was a sign of poverty and a creamy complexion was the epitome of beauty.Alabaster, pale skin that rarely saw the sun was a sign of glamour and luxury. That is, until Coco Chanel came along. As the story goes, the fashion icon got a little too much sun on one of her yacht trips in the Cannes in 1923, returning to the spotlight with a bronze glow. Her sun-kissed look launched a fad and eventually, an entire industry revolving around achieving the perfect tan.
Soon, celebrities and socialites were flocking to tropical destinations during the winter, using sunlamps to darken their once-porcelain skin. Another interesting fact:during WWII, women used tea bags to mimic a natural-looking tan.
Up until Kardashian sisters and Paris Hilton came along sunless spray tans were one of Hollywood’s best kept secrets.Tinseltown’s finest kept it mum on how they always looked so radiant on the red carpet. But spray tanning industry didn’t explode until first Victoria’s Secret fashion show in 2006.People at home were watching backstage preparations with models being sprayed on by a “magic” solution that made them appear tanner, slimmer, glowier and more super model-esque.
Nowadays you don’t have to be a famous person or “bake” under the scorching sun to achieve a golden glow. All you have to do is book an appointment and achieve instant celebrity status by simply getting a spray tan!
When doctors and dermatologists noticed a surge in skin cancer in 1970’s it fueled significant research on the effects of UV rays on our skin. Extreme sun exposure was linked to skin cancer and a host of other physical conditions.
Tanning beds and self-tanners soon stepped in to help health-conscious tan-seekers achieve a sun-kissed glow without the sun damage. By the 1980’s, tanning beds were becoming increasingly popular, as were spray tans. Researchers have since discovered that tanning beds and sunlamps are just as harmful as laying out in the sun, prompting the FDA to discourage people from using them for sun-kissed skin. The popularity of tanning beds has been on the decline ever since, even as tanned skin stays firmly in fashion.
Early spray tans got a bad rap for two reasons. First, they often produced an “oompa loompa” effect that left skin orange and streaky.Think Ross in “Friends”episode where his spray tanning experience goes awry. And then there was the less-than-appetizing smell, caused by the use of DHA in an unnatural form. But luckily for us, this major beauty faux pas has been largely eclipsed in the latest generation of spray tan lovers.Sunless spray tans today can produce the most natural looking colors.
Colors can range from light/medium/medium-dark and finally competition stage colors.Sunless spray tans are not one color fits all! Most sunless spray tan solutions are odorless or have mild scent of tropical fruits. Also the colors has to match your natural skin’s undertones and that’s where you need to a homework: Look for a sunless spray technician who is trained and certified.Check their websites, see before and after pictures of their previous work and lastly always ask for credentials. And no,Youtube University “diploma”doesn’t count (being tad sarcastic).
All-Natural sunless spray tans became wildly popular in 2010.DHA-based sunless tanning has been recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation, American Academy of Dermatology Association, Canadian Dermatology Association and the American Medical Association as a safer alternative to sun-bathing
As innovators and lovers behind our sunless spray tans,we’ve partnered up with a sunless lab in California to bring all natural and organic products to our clients here in Laredo.

According to a study from the University of Manchester, lip size is insignificant when it comes to perception of attractiveness; color is what matters most.
Scientists tracked the eye movements of 50 men and found that they spent 2.2 seconds on lipstick-free mouths, 6.7 seconds on pink lips, and 7.3 seconds looking at red lips (regardless of fullness).
First of all, it comes down to picking the right shade for you. The secret is to find one that completely works with your skin tone.
Blue-toned reds look cooler and more retro, whilst poppy orangey reds are warmer and look a little bit more modern. And those dark very berry reds that you covet on the covers of magazines and backstage are totally achievable too – when you know the right products and shades to buy.
For the ultimate classic cool-girl look make sure you team your new red lipstick with a natural nude eyeshadow and just a hint of mascara. Or try slicking on a feline black liquid eye-liner to look like you’ve just stepped out of the 1950s.
Whatever look you’re choosing to go for, add classic glamour and an air of elegance to any ensemble by picking the best red lipstick for your complexion and budget.
Here are my personal tips on how to achieve the perfect pout;
PREP THE LIPS
Exfoliate your lips with a soft toothbrush or lip scrub and then top it off with a lip balm.
DEFINE YOUR LIPS
Pick a pencil that closely matches your lipstick.
Outline your lips defining your cupid’s bow then fill in your lips
My favorite red lipliner is by MAC Cosmetics (Follow your Heart)
For longer lasting results, apply lipstick with a lip brush.
My all time favorite red lipstick is by MAC cosmetics (Ruby Woo)
We are all on the quest to look young and in the beauty world, there are many different procedures to help to aid us on this mission.
While some cosmetic procedures provide temporary effects, makeup is one thing most of us wear everyday.
Once we find a set of makeup products we like-say,in your 20’s-too many of us avoid switching things up,sometimes for years!
But something simple as the way you apply your makeup can have a great effect on how young or how old you look.
Here is top 10 the most common, and most aging, makeup application mistakes.
Mistake #1
Not properly hydrating and moisturizing the skin before makeup application
Skin prep is the key when it comes to any skin, young or old.
Make sure to always apply your favorite moisturizer and good eye cream before you begin any makeup application.
Check out this website for best eye creams
http://www.reviews.com/best-eye-cream
Mistake #2
Wearing wrong colored foundation
This rules applies to anyone who wears makeup.
When you go too light it makes skin appear flat and lifeless which also adds years to a face. But if you go too dark, you are not highlighting your features but dragging them down and adding heaviness that is just as aging.
Mistake #3
Using too much shimmer
While some shimmery eyeshadows on your eyelids can be very flattering if placed correctly,I highly suggest staying away from shimmer on your face and lips. Shimmer accentuates wrinkles and thats not flattering on mature skin.
Mistake #4
Powdering too much
Powder is not your best friend after age of 35.
Powder needs to applied very sparingly and with a light hand.Gentle dusting with a powder brush on T-zone area (forehead, bridge of the nose and chin area) that’s all you need.If applied to much it can look dry and can set in every single wrinkle especially around the eye area.
Mistake#5
Choosing a lipstick that’s too dark
Ruby red may have been your signature lip color since your 20’s but as you age,you lose definition in lips,so to appear more youthful, you’ll want to wear a lipstick that adds fulness.
Dark color does just the opposite, making lips look smaller and less plump.
My favorite shades for my mature clients are mauves, dark pinks and corals.
Mistake #6
Not making friends with your blush
The right color blush can add a youthful look to a face but the key is to find the right shade of blush.
Women with fair skin and medium skin tones should look for rosy pinks and peaches, and darker skin tones look best with coral and berry shades.
Mistake #7
Not adding color and filling in your eyebrows
Eyebrow color fades as you age,so filling in over plucked spots and gray hair is a must. Keep your eyebrows shaped and defined and choose a pencil that is one to two shades lighter than your natural brow color.
Mistake #8
Not curling your lashes and not applying mascara
Curling your eyelashes is the easiest thing you can do to make your eyes appear bigger and therefore younger.
Adding 1-2 coats of mascara on your lashes can do wonders.
Choose lengthening mascara to give an illusion of longer lashes.
Mistake #9
Applying too many dark colors on your face
If you want to go for smoky eye look, keep your lips neutral.
Or if you want to wear darker lip shade keep your eyes simple. The rule is to never have too many dark colors going on at the same time.
Mistake #10
Dressing too trendy
This is not makeup related but it is just important.
Unless you are in the fashion industry, steer clear of fashion that seem very in the moment (think crop tops and high waisted jeans).Rather invest in classic, sophisticated items such as blazers, pencil skirts, perfectly tailored pants, classic white shirt and wrap dresses that will never be out of style.Monica Bellucci is a perfect example of timeless beauty
